At a glance: Backing Plate - 1" wide x 3/16" thick Handle Material - 1/2" x 1" rectangle tubing Handle specs: - Back spacing: 1-1/2" - Total Projection - 2-3/16" This door handle is made of 1/2" x 1" rectangle steel tube and will stand up to any punishment you could throw at it. The welds are ground clean and smoothed. Once it's finished, the whole piece gets a coat of clear to bring out the natural beauty of the steel. Another option is to paint the handle flat black for a refined, matte finish. Excellent for either commercial use or for your home. For exterior use, a coat of clear or black paint is recommended. Note: The lengths listed are measurements of the total barn door handle with the backing plate included. The actual handle size is 2" shorter than the listed dimension.
